Antibody test recognizes the specific antibodies formed against the SARS-CoV-2 virus when they are present in a certain amount in the blood specimens. Below that amount, the test does not detect them. It may take 1 to 3 days for the system to make sufficient antibodies after the infection so that they are identifiable in the antibody test.
