Which cholesterol type do you need to avoid?
Lower cholesterol levels should be that of the low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol, whereas low quantities of high-density lipoproteins (HDL) cholesterol is also harmful for health. This is because HDL cholesterol is healthy cholesterol and it has to be present sufficiently in the body so its deficiency is harmful for health too. LDL cholesterol is unhealthy cholesterol and it increases the risk of cardiovascular disease.
